Easter 2012

We did Easter up in Logan with Grandma while daddy stayed home and did homework.

Making Jello eggs

All done! My mom made 262 eggs this year!

We had Easter lunch out at my Grandma's.  We did an Easter egg hunt for the little kids.  They had lot's of fun finding eggs.

After the little kids finished their egg hunt, the older girls wanted to do an egg hunt.  They said that they didn't care what was in them, they just wanted to find some eggs.  So my brother, myself, my cousin, and our friend Nate loaded up some eggs, and hid them.  The hiding was fun because we had Nate hide a lot of them.  He is 6+ feet tall, so they couldn't reach or see a lot of them!  Awesome!

When they finally found them all, they opened them up.  When we were loading them, we did it in the kitchen, where the lunch food was all still laid out.  We put candy in some of them, but a few of the others may have had some less conventional things in them...

Opening the eggs...

Here are their "goodies".  The spinach salad was Brian's idea, and the deviled egg was my idea.  The half eaten jello egg was from Nate!  This had to be the funnest egg hunt to set up ever!

Later that night, my sis-in law had her sister over and we had dinner and did another egg hut with her kids!  So fun!

My mom has a great backyard for egg hunts!

After it got dark, we had a glow egg hunt.  We rolled glow bracelets up inside the eggs and then hid them!  It worked a lot better than I thought it would!  I want to do it again next year!  The key was giving each kid a glow bracelet to wear while they hunted.  We could see them and make sure they didn't run into each other!

I LOVE the looks on my boys faces
