Bear Lake 2009

Over Labor Day weekend we went on our annual trip to Bear Lake. There is a pretty big group of us, so we always rent one of the pavillions in the campground we stay at. It's really nice because then we have lots of tables for eating and games. We also have grass for our tents and to play on. We had a lot of fun this year. It was Samuel's first trip to Bear Lake and he did really well. He never made it down to the lake though. Steven and I only made one trip down to the beach, and Steven wasn't really much of a fan. I guess that runs in the family, because Matt isn't really a fan of the water either. Here are a few of our fun pictures:

We spent the entire weekend feeding these squirrels. This is the water dish we put out for them so they wouldn't fall in the dogs water bucket and drown.

This is what Steven did at the beach. He was fine as long as his shoes were on, and he was at a distance from the water, throwing in sand. When we took off his shoes he freaked out, and when we tried to get him to walk into the water, he really freaked out!

Probably the most exciting part of the weekend was coming home to this:


We left Bear Lake later than we planned so we got home about 11:30 at night. And when we pulled up to our driveway there was a big deep hole there! While we were gone, the city decided to rip up the end of our driveway. We still don't know why. They only did it to two of the driveways on the entire street. The other one that they took out was flaking and falling apart, but there wasn't anything wrong with ours! It took them almost a week to replace it too! Good thing the park strip in front of our house is cement, so we just used the neighbors driveway and drove up the sidewalk to get to our garage.
