On Saturday April 19th we embarked on the Second Chance Charity Walk. This is a 5K walk/run that is put on every Spring here in Logan. It is to benefit families that have members receiving or waiting to receive an organ transplant. This was the third year for Steven and I (the 1st year, I was pregnant), and the 1st year for Matt. We always go with my parents. They have participated in the walk all five years that it has been put on.
Matt had a lot of fun because he has started running, so he ran the most of the run. I just walk with my mom and push the stroller. As we were waiting for the walk to start, Steven decided that he was having a great time pushing his stroller around the parking lot. He didn't care where he was pushing it, as long as he got to push it. So someone had to steer.
Once the walk started, Steven rode in the stroller and ate snacks. Brian started out walking with mom and Me, but after not too long, he got pretty far ahead of us and he was pushing the stroller! I guess he was still in missionary walking mode. Dad of course, was way out in front with all the die hard runners. He's a little more fit than the rest of us. Although, Matt and Brian are catching up! 
We like to be a part of this walk because it supports a great cause that we both believe in. We are both organ donors because we figure that if we aren't using our organs, someone might as well be. At the walk they always tell organ donor stories. They told a story of a girl from Utah that needed a new heart. A family in Colorado lost their daughter in a car accident with a drunk driver. They donated her organs, and her heart saved the life of the girl in Utah. As the Colorado family was dealing with the tragedy of losing their daughter, they said that it brought great comfort to them knowing that lives were saved because they donated their daughters organs.
