So it has been a while since I posted. We have been so busy!We spent Easter down in Herriman with Matt's family. It was a lot of fun. Steven got to go on two egg hunts. The first one was Riverton City's hunt. Steven was more interested in watching all the other kids than picking up eggs. Later we did a hunt at Matt's mom's house for all the cousins. Steven did really well for about ten minutes, picking up eggs and putting them in his basket. then he decided that he would rather just run around the yard ( he really likes to run on grass lately). So that was the end of picking up eggs. He ran right over the top of them not even caring. He had a lot of fun though. This was also the weekend that Matt discovered his new calling in life. I will start by telling you about Matt's cousin Evan. Ever since I've known Evan (about 6 or 7 years) He has wanted to start his own movie production company. He has worked really hard at this and is starting to realize this dream. I know he will accomplish it and will do well because he is very driven and talented. Anyway, Evan's company was filming a little demo film for another guy and Evan asked Matt if he could come and help with the electrical stuff. i believe the proper term is called Best Boy. this is the guy under the head electrician who is called a gaffer. Mat said yes and spent all day Friday and Saturday of Easter weekend working on Evan's movie set. he had so much fun he could hardly contain himself for at least a week. So now he has decided that he would like to try to get into this field for a career. And the best part is that he already know somebody in the business (Evan). So for now he is making plans and one day (hopefully in the next couple of years) He will be able to work as a Gaffer. I'm excited because apparently gaffers make quite a bit of money.
The next weekend we helped Matt's sister move into her new condo. It was a lot of fun except that Steven was in the middle of his first experience with being sick. On Wednesday the 26th Steven got diarrhea. He had that for a couple days and then on Friday (the day we were driving down to Saratoga Springs) he started throwing up. This was an adventure to say the least. then on Saturday the diarrhea came back for a day and by Sunday he was fine. Now that I have experienced a sick kid I have decided that it really sucks and I hope Steven never gets sick again. (Yeah Right) It was a lot of fun to spend a couple of weekend's in a row with Matt's family. We don't get to do that very often. On Saturday Matt's parents had their Finnish tutor over for dinner. Their tutor is a BYU student who is from Finland so they invited all of us over to ask him questions about what it's like in Finland. It was alot of fun to find out more about Finland. Yesterday Matt and I took Steven to Central Park here in Logan. It still isn't very warm but we are tired of the never ending winter so we went anyway. Steven had a lot of fun, but once again he mostly wanted to just run around on the grass. We took his Finding Nemo ball that he got for Easter and let him run around kicking it and saying "Yea"(another of his new favorite pastimes). The picture of Steven and Matt below is my new favorite picture of my two favorite guys.
